Discourse of Mme Gisèle Rufer
Madame Shirin Ebadi , winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, spoke March 9 at the Uni Mail auditorium at the University of Geneva during a meeting organized in collaboration with the Iranian Cultural Association, PARSAYAN, with the support of Madame Laurence Déonna , President of ‘ efa.ge-être femme aujourd'hui ' .
The theme was ‘Science and Peace'. Madame Ebadi certainly touched a cord with the assembly, which was made up mostly of students, Iranians and women. At the end of the conference, to let her know that she is always in their thoughts, she was presented with a watch that symbolizes ‘Time for Women'. Madame Gisèle Rufer , the creator of the DELANCE watch brand, made the presentation of the gift in the name of all Swiss women.

Dear Shirin,
One woman's success means success for all women and we are here today to celebrate your success with you. We would like to say that you are forever in our hearts because the combat that you are waging, nearly alone in your country, is also our combat, wherever we are.
Please know that we are with you, and all women who, with perseverance and tenacity, seek every day to make a better world.
It is for these women, my mother, my daughter and all my sisters in heart… that I created DELANCE . It was created for women by women, because it symbolizes femininity in all domains. It also subtly symbolizes ‘Time for Women', this new time that we create with love everywhere in the world today.
